3. Description of the service

Muskeg Signal publishes lower-city Hamilton news and a weekly podcast, and sells three fixed advertising placements: the Episode Shout-Out Spot, the Local Life Section Sponsorship and the Seasonal Partner Package, each described with its price on our Advertise page.

4. Eligibility & obligations

You confirm that any material you provide for a placement is accurate and that you have the right to advertise it.

5. Bookings, orders & payments

Placements are booked and paid in advance at the price shown on the Advertise page, in Canadian dollars. See Payment & Refund Policy and Returns Policy below, or the long-form versions at advertising-terms.html and refund-cancellation.html.

6. Intellectual property

All site content, the Muskeg Signal name and logo belong to us; advertiser-supplied material remains the advertiser's own.

7. Acceptable use

You may not submit unlawful, misleading or infringing material for a placement or use the site's form for anything other than a genuine enquiry.

8. Disclaimer

General information. Site content is provided by Balla Media Incorporated for general informational purposes about lower-city Hamilton.

Professional advice. Nothing on this site is a substitute for individual professional advice specific to your circumstances.

Accuracy & availability. We take reasonable care over accuracy but do not warrant that content is complete or error-free; placement formats and prices may change for future bookings, with the confirmed scope set at the time you approve a script or mock-up.

Results. We describe reach and reporting factually; we do not promise any outcome from an advertising placement, since results depend on your own offer and audience.

Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the site or a placement does not exceed the amount paid for that placement.

9. Payment & Refund Policy

Scope. This section covers payments made for advertising placements booked through Muskeg Signal.

Eligibility. A refund may be requested before your script or mock-up is approved, or before recording/publication begins.

How to request. Email [email protected] or call +1 905-572-7474 with your booking details.

Processing. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Non-refundable cases. Once a placement has aired or published, it is not refundable. Full details are in our Payment & refund policy page.

10. Returns Policy

How to cancel. Write to [email protected] or call +1 905-572-7474 during Monday – Friday, 08:00–16:30.

Returns windows. Cancelling before script or mock-up approval is free; cancelling after approval but before it runs may carry a partial charge for work already completed.

Rescheduling. We will usually offer a new date instead of a cancellation where our schedule allows.

Returnss by us. If we are unable to deliver a booked placement, we offer a full refund or a rebooking, your choice. Full terms are at advertising-terms.html.

Our site may link to third-party sites we do not control and are not responsible for.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario.
